Welcome to Freeport Middle School!
We’re thrilled to welcome all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students to an exciting new year at Freeport Middle School—and with it, a brand new administrative team ready to lead with fresh energy, big goals, and a strong commitment to student success.
Our school is powered by 100 amazing staff members who are passionate about helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally in a safe, inclusive environment where everyone belongs.
📚 What We Offer:
From our many vibrant classrooms to our gymnasium, swimming pool, theatre, cafeteria and now—drumroll please—a brand new outdoor Fitness Court behind the building, giving students and staff another great way to move, stretch, and stay healthy! FMS is a hub for learning and connection. We also provide Special Education services and support through our Family Resource Coordinator, ensuring all students and families have what they need to thrive.

Students can dive into extracurricular and co-curricular activities—including Freeport’s Grammy award-winning music program—and explore new passions beyond the classroom.

We’re proud to offer the AVID program, a college-prep elective designed especially for first-generation college-bound students. It’s just one more way we help our learners dream big and aim higher.
